No popup with thread's first post?

Now that the combo's broken, will someone tell me if there is a way to get the popup thingie I used to get when I hovered on a thread's title?

Also, why is steinman's quoted avatar always GasBandit's? I feel like I have an old buggy version of the forum now or something :(

I've been wondering this for a while now. The quoted avatars seem to have a lot of trouble keeping up with changes that people make to their avatars, like when all of the avatar changing hijinks happened and it took like a month for the quoted avs to catch up...

Can't really help you on either point though.

We did have it at one point, but I don't know if that was before we switched to xenforo or if it disappeared when Dave nuked the spy feature.

Not sure, I haven't gotten the hover text to work for a while either.

As for steinman's avatar, it's the one he has set up for his Gravatar icon, which for some reason is the one that's used when you get quoted by other people. At least for me it is.

For me the hover text is still there, it just pops up at the very bottom of the screen. Ironically that only happens at work. If I check from home, it works properly.

1. In the lower left corner of the webpage you should see the style currently enabled. It might start with "blackend" or "xen" or "animate" or "Be mine" or "social". Click it and choose "XenBlue". You should now get the popups, although right now they seem a bit buggy on my browser (blinking, rather than popping up and staying up). I don't know if any other styles include the thread popup, but I go without it and usually just stick with "xenminimal" because it's easier to read without all the forum userinfo underneath each avatar, expanding even short posts to take up a large amount of screen space.

2. I'm exploiting a bug in the forum which, as Cheesy1 correctly points out, has to do with the way the forum uses gravatar for avatars. I just find it funny, so I haven't pointed it out to Dave yet.

I had XenBlue and it didn't work either. I switched to Social and it's missing there too. I love the theme though, I'm keeping it!

Blackened-blue is what I use, both at home and the office - and as I said, it's odd, it comes up fine at home but only at the bottom of the page at work.

JavaScript? When I disabled JavaScript it disabled all kinds of features like that for me. I don't recall that one specifically, though.

There's an addon that I added that apparently got rid of the first post view. It's a pain in the ass and I have yet to figure out which one is the culprit. The only way to know would be to disable them all and then turn them on one by one.
