Wyrmrest Accord WoW Guild Sexy Fun Time.

I find playing Horde totally different. It's super fun - but very different.

Also, there is a whole new level of freak in random Horde groups. I seriously had a dude tell me off and rage quit because I had never watched Walking Dead.

But hey, on a subject that may be just as divisive, why do they feel the need to keep resurrecting dead characters to be raid/dungeon bosses? Having Mannoroth come back in BC pissed me off to no end. Way to completely invalidate Grom's sacrifice.
It's been mentioned, but you are thinking of Magtheridon, who is a different Pit Lord.

Mannoroth was the Pit Lord that gave his blood to the orcs originally, and was killed by Grom Hellscream, his bones taken and displayed in Orgrimmar since WoW began. Garrosh moved his skull into the new Grommash Hold after Cataclysm, cut off parts of his demon tusks, and now wears them on his shoulders as a trophy of his father's past victory.

Magtheridon was the Pit Lord that, after Draenor blew up and became Outland, muscled his way into the broken dimension to take control of it. He ruled over Outland for years until Illidan appeared and used his forces to siege the Black Temple and oust Magtheridon from power. Instead of killing him, Illidan gave the demon over to some of Magtheridon's former subjects, the Fel Orcs, who drained him of his blood and infused it into themselves.

As for characters getting ressurected, well you can sometimes blame the fanbase. At the last BlizzCon, a fan asked Metzen if they would ever bring back Illidan. He made it known they had no plans, but asked what people thought of them bringing Illidan back, to which the crowd cheered. Metzen followed that up with a "Ok, point taken, done", and so pretty much at some point we are going to have Illidan around again, maybe a raid boss maybe an NPC, who knows.

Yeah, that was totally my bad. For some reason, I thought that it was Mannoroth. However, my point still stands. Cataclysm in particular was bad about this. Bringing back all the guardians and Cenarius. It was good to see Jerod Shadowsong in action, though. Basically, if they want to bring back dead bad guys, they already have a built in way to do it without screwing with the lore. All they need to do is have it in the Caverns of Time, like with Archimonde.

To be fair, we knew that those entities existed in the Emerald Dream after the died, but had no way known to return to the living world. They were likely written in for the Emerald Dream expansion, but since that was canned, they had to figure out a new way to use them in another new storyline, and thus brought them back to the regular world at Hyjal.

Really, the ones that were getting a bit silly was bringing back Nefarion and Onyxia as zombie dragons.

Yeah they did a really good job of explaining the Emerald Dream in the Stormrage novel.

I started a Blood Elf rogue on our regular guild server. I also ran through the Echo Isles quest with a lowbie troll. HOLY LORE, BATMAN... It shows you exactly how strained the relations between the trolls and the orcs are since Hellscream took over the Horde. He and Vol'jin are at each other's throats, to the point where Vol'jin is threatening to kill Garrosh and pull the trolls away from the Horde. I'm thinking about making a lowbie Tauren to find out if there's any lore about how the Tauren, Baine in particular, are reacting to Garrosh taking the role of Warchief.

Basically, the Horde is a big old mess right now.
I really want try a goblin to see what their story is all about.

Totally unrelated but the MoP Horde quests are hilarious! I loved their Jade Forest Scouting ones.

Coming from the Horde side, I would love to put my sword through the Sky Admiral's throat for ordering a massacre of unarmed men.
Was actually really glad they put that scene in, since I was getting worried only the Horde was pulling off the questionable acts and we needed some balance again. It shows both sides can get a little lost in the whole conflict.

I'd say that the Horde actually come off better than the Alliance in that first encounter. At least the Horde didn't know they were bombing civilians and the casualties were the result of an actual battle. The actions of the Alliance were out and out racial hatred and murder.

I don't think Illidan was ever actually killed though, yeah? Maeiv just carted him off after your raid beat the snot out of him.
Nope, we kill him with Maiev and Akama. If Maiev has carted him off somewhere she would not have appeared in Wolfheart training the Shadow Wardens, instead spending her days guarding whatever new prison she has him sitting in.

Ah that's right. It's been so long I forgot about that last "what is the hunter without the hunted" bit.

Well, as long as we don't get a "BLACK TEMPLE WAS MERELY A SETBACK" reveal like poor Kael.

Don't worry, you'll see most zones in their entirety by the time you hit 90. I completed Jade Forest, Four Winds, Kun-Lai, and most of Townlong and Dread Wastes when I capped the Monk. You pretty much choose between Karasang and Kun-Lai, though, as they're about the same level.

I'm just saying I'm much further along towards leveling on this toon than any of my Horde toons were by the time they got the breadcrumb quest to Dawn's Blossom. Same amount of rested XP more or less, too (if not more, with the monk's Enlightenment buff).

Looks like I might be in conflict with some of you guys, as some friends on the Horde side of Wyrmrest Accord convinced me to transfer over a high level warlock to the server.

I still plan to transfer another of my high level Alliance over to the server too, I am just having trouble choosing which one.

Geez! Half of the people on our normal guild have made Horde toons and play almost exclusively there. Argh!

To be fair for me, I've only played about 3 hours this week. I did try to solo Black Temple today and the first boss is kind of impossible to solo. He doesn't throw out his spear so you can't break his bubble and once he enrages, he hits even my dungeon geared pandaria shaman harder than I can heal up.
