On a completely unrelated note, this Celebrity Guest Picker segment on Gameday is about the stupidest, most insulting thing I've seen them do (though admittedly, it's been awhile since I've seen it). What, they couldn't find a James Madison alum that was worthy enough of their high standards had enough social media followers to be their guest picker, so they just got one of their coworkers to dress up like the man and make stupid picks because "I've been dead for 100 years!"? I know they've been losing subscribers like mad, and that little feud between them and UW's head coach about how late Pac-12 games get scheduled is completely uncalled for - and the cupcake thing was insulting. You want to talk cupcake opponents? What the fuck was Alabama doing during the early part of this decade playing teams like the Charleston Southern Buccaneers or the Chattanooga Mocs mid- to late-November? Schedules are set years in advance - you think UW was able to schedule quality OoC opponents back when Willingham and that dumbass from Notre Dame were coaching the dawgs? Fuck no! They were lucky they weren't being scheduled as the cupcake opponents for Alabama and Auburn.

Playing teams like Penn State, Michigan, USC, Wisconsin, etc in the first week or two of the season?

Hopefully OU can handle TCU. It'll likely be a tough game. OU seems to be all offense and no defense this season. WVU should be able to finish the season with two more wins. Hoping Iowa pulls a major upset too!

"ON, WISCONSIN! ON, WISCONSIN!
PLUNGE RIGHT THROUGH THAT LINE!
RUN THE BALL CLEAR 'ROUND IOWA

TOUCHDOWN SURE THIS TIME!
ON, WISCONSIN! ON, WISCONSIN!
FIGHT ON FOR HER FAME!
FIGHT! FELLOWS, FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!
WE'LL WIN THIS GAME!"

You or @Krisken have a mission. Gameday will be in Madison next weekend for the Michigan game.

Get the HF logo on TV. :Leyla:

Hey, at least if we win out in our division, we have a chance to play USC and reclaim all of our territory from earlier this season. Still eliminated from playoff contention, but after watching Oregon get slaughtered in the final, I'm not sure that's such a bad thing. The last thing this conference needs is even more bad press about the cupcakes we schedule and how we can't beat "real" football teams from "real" football conferences.

Clemson vs Miami and 'bama vs Auburn should be great games. I hope OU can finish strong against Kansas and WVU, and hang in there for a playoff spot.

Georgia has had a good season so it'd be a shame if they don't make it to the playoffs.

BOOMER!

This is the first year I may be more hyped to watch the Iron Bowl than the Apple Cup.

Yeah, I am definitely looking forward to it. Saban is a quite a coach, but it's too bad it's not this weekend b/c I am sure Auburn is feeling pretty good right now. If they stomp all over ULM then they might keep the momentum going and give 'Bama a run.

Welp. So much for that. Grier has a broken finger on his throwing hand. "Several weeks" at this point may as well be the rest of the year. One road game and whatever bowl game is all that's left.

The kU players wouldn't shake his hand at the coin toss and gave him a dangerous cheap shot. Don't start shit when you can't back it up.

I think Mayfield could have handled it better. While I am happy that OU has a Heisman contender at QB again, I don't care for his actions on or off the field.
Besides the handshake just made KU look ridiculous.

Of course he could have handled it better, but the refs weren't going to do anything about the cheap shots or the taunting when he was buried under piles of defenders. Seriously, the amount of people who were worshipping Mayfield as the second coming of Favre and Manning before the crotch grab and then talking about how he just destroyed his entire career after it is mind-bogglingly large. Has anyone ever seen an NFL game? Recently? Guys sailing through the air backwards across the goal line while grabbing their crotches. Guys grabbing their crotches after kicking a field goal. Guys grabbing their crotches after a long run. It's all crotch grabs, all the way down. And swearing at the other team's bench? Seriously? I get it, it's unprofessional and crass - but if this is the sort of thing we're going to keep guys out of the league for, while we suspend them a game or two for drunk driving or 6 games for domestic abuse, maybe we're looking at all of this wrong.
