Im getting into deep space 9, now that it's on Netflix. I'd skipped over this series when when it first came out and have been meaning to check it out. Anyway, I have some questions that seem to be escaping me.
1) I need some frame of reference for the value of a bar of gold pressed latinum. I know that it's not cheap. Jake and nog sold some land to quark for 5 bars. I don't think it was a lot of land but still, land is land. I'm thinking a few grand per bar.
2) I'm not exactly sure why Sisko is in command. I know he's representing the federation there, and obviously commands any star fleet personnel there, but doesn't DS:9 actually belong to the bejorans?
3) Do we ever see the wheelbarrow that carries Odo's giant balls?
